the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection" by Charles Darwin |  |
was published in November 1859. On Saturday 14th November 2009,
to mark the 150th anniversary of this important event, in a
collaboration between Dorset Natural History and Archaeological Society
and the Parish of Dorchester, there will be an opportunity to explore - the modern understanding of evolution by natural selection,
- what it means for the Christian doctrine of creation, and
- its significance for human self-understanding.
